50 Years Later, Vietnam Veterans finally get the recognition they deserve

"We lost 58,000 soliders. Not that it was a waste, but why? And that became the emotional question," Rocky Bleier said Nov. 8 as the community gathered at the Jaffa Mosque in Altoona to honor veterans.
The purpose was to recognize and honor veterans, remembering those whom we have lost and those who still remain missing in action. More than 400 Vietnam veterans and their families received their Vietnam Veteran Commemoration Lapel Pin during the Vietnam War Period Veterans Pinning Ceremony.
