Continuing a Christmas tradition, Santa Claus has confirmed that he will take time out from the busy toy building season to visit with families aboard the Everett Railroad over the course of the coming month.

The Everett Railroad is again offering the opportunity to ride aboard an old-fashioned steam train this holiday season.

The trains feature Christmas music, colored lights and an "abundance of Christmas joy."

"We also invite our passengers to enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie at the end of our trip," said railroad President Alan Maples.

Santa will make sure that each girl and boy receives a small gift.

Engine Old Number 11 is 99 years old this year, and still going strong.

Each trip lasts an hour. All trains depart from the Everett Railroad Hollidaysburg depot at 244 Loop Road, Hollidaysburg.

Tickets are available at everettrailroad.com/santa or by calling 696-3877. Ticket prices vary by trip. Discounts are available for seniors and children.

The trains run every weekend from Thanksgiving up until Christmas, with some runs on Fridays.
