10-year-old Aran Corey was telling Santa what he wanted for Christmas, while 11-year-old Patrick Naughton was happy he got to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. Both are in Pack 30.
Two years ago, PennDOT paved 3rd Avenue in Duncansville Borough. During that construction time period, the location for the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony was paved over, including the electrical boxes that were used to light the tree. With the tree aged beyond repair, the outlets no longer there, and not having a real place to put the Christmas tree, the tradition of the tree lighting ceremony was no more. When it was discovered at a recent borough council meeting that the borough was not having a tree lighting ceremony again, the local Scout leaders could not allow a third year to pass....
