Hollidaysburg Business Offers Backpacks Filled with School Supplies

On July 26, Hollidaysburg Verizon Wireless Zone at 420 Blair St. held his annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway, through which the store had 180 backpacks filled with school supplies to hand out to local students. The business was hoping to give away the 1,000th backpack this year.

Thomas Benjamin, manager of the Hollidaysburg Verizon Wireless Zone, said each backpack was filled with a folder, notebook, ruler, pencil, pencil holder, and glue stick.
