Hollidaysburg Trying to 'Make Strides' Against Cancer

"Walk where you are" was the theme of the 2020 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central PA walk. It is still 2020 and the only thing that is the same as before COVID-19 is the number of patients diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

This year, 276,480 women are expected to hear the words, "You have breast cancer." Yet, breast cancer occurs in men too. Ask Jim Daversa of Altoona. After bumping into a post at home last year, the pain made his wife suspicious, though to him it was just a little itch. Weeks later, doctors confirmed that Jim, at 60 years old, had Stage 1 invasive ducta...
