Hollidaysburg Borough approves "very tight" budget for 2021

COVID-19 effects resulted in no increases in spending

The Hollidaysburg Borough Council held its monthly teleconference meeting Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. The final 2021 General Funds Budget presented by Borough Manager Jim Gehret was unanimously approved by the council. Gehret said that there would be no millage increase for the upcoming year. He said that there may be a slight surplus, but next year's budget will be "very tight" as a result of COVID 19 effects. There will be no increases in any areas of the proposed budget. The approved tentative budget will be available for the public to view for the next 30 days.
