Suspect in Murder of Hollidaysburg Man Takes Own Life

A man who police said was a suspect in the Nov. 21 murder of 21-year-old Tyler R. Slippy of Hollidaysburg was found dead in a Cambria County motel room on Wednesday, Dec. 23.
Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said Kenneth Kim, 39, of Ebensburg, shot himself in a first-floor room of the Quality Inn on Route 22 near Ebensburg as police approached him for questioning in Slippy’s death.
According to reports, police went to the motel at around 11 p.m. to question Kim, but when he saw police approaching, Kim ran into his hotel room on the first floor. Police said they heard a gunshot from inside...
