Community mourns the loss of a 'quiet but powerful' woman

"Virginia Day was very committed to the community," Donna Gority, former Blair County Commissioner, said.
"Miss Virginia was a pillar in the community," said the Rev. Keith Moore of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
"She was always willing to help," said Bill Sweet, vice president of the Blair County Chapter of the NAACP.
Virginia Day passed away Jan. 27 at the age of 76.
